We have outlined your steps below and have added checklists and forms to help complete the process. We will assist you every step of the way to make moving your accounts, automatic deposits and payments as easy as possible.
Step 1
Come Bank With Us – Open your account with First National Bank Northwest Florida. We will help you find the account that best fits your needs, order your checks and debit card. We will help you decide which of our other services you may want to take advantage of: online banking with free Bill Pay, remote deposit capture, or safe deposit boxes, for example.
Step 2
START & STOP – Start using your new account and Stop using your old checking account-Leave sufficient funds in your previous account to cover any outstanding checks, automatic withdrawals, or fees.
Step 3
Change your automatic deposits and withdrawals – Transfer direct deposits or payments from your previous account to your new account by simply filling out the forms Direct Deposit Request and Automatic Payment Request. A separate form is needed to be given to each vendor that debits money from your account. If you currently use on-line bill pay, print a list of vendors from your current service. This will make it easier to set up these vendors in your new service.
Step 4
Close your previous account – Once everything has changed to your new account, you can close the previous account by filling out the form Account Closing Notification and sending it to your previous financial institution.
